Plan B bushwalking

CENTRAL COAST – 11 May 2024
We had been planning a big social event for the weekend, an outdoor Roman Bath’s night-time picnic on Saturday night, plus a 1/2 day bushwalk on the Saturday.  Then we checked the weather on WeatherZone and the forecast was for rain all weekend.  So, we came up with a Plan B – bushwalking looking for aboriginal art sites – the engravings are much more well defined after rain – bonus. Finally, some Tassie Caving

TASMANIA – 30 April 2024
So, we’re all COVID-free now, and have taken a lot of time to rest and recover, it’s about time we got into some caving!  We decided to explore a little by ourselves, see if I could find Sassafras, take a look at Cyclops and maybe find a new cave, Water Trap.  We planned an early start but then faffed around and before you know it, it was 11am! Definitely a Blog-Worthy Adventure

TASMANIA – 29 April 2024
We had two choices for the afternoon, two small caves or a walk to Minnow Falls.  I thought Minnow Falls would be easier so suggested to Rod and Jim that we do that.  It would take about 4 hours and we’d missed doing it on our COVID Road Trip, so seemed like a good idea.  I didn’t do any research, Jim had looked it up on the ‘net, but I didn’t bother to ask too many questions, how hard could it be? The COVID Road Trip – Part 2

Our second day of “seeing the sights”.  We started at 7.30am to go to Burnie for Park Run.  This would be my first Park Run (well Park Walk) and I was fairly confident that I’d be able to manage a 5k walk.  The drive to Burnie was pretty average, lots of cows, farmland and haybales.
