NORTH BOWEN CANYON – MAY 2015
Julie B messaged that she was doing a run through North Bowen with a friend from the US and would I like to join her. CANYONING – NORTHERN WOLLEMI – EASTER 2015
I guess this trip was almost doomed from the start! First of all, we had tacked it on the end of the Rafting the Franklin trip and when that didn’t go ahead we organised other things to do until Mt Anne, then our run of good weather (predictably) changed and I struggled with whether to can the trip or not.
I’d always wanted to see Wine Glass Bay, the photos of it are amazing. So, we put Freycinet on the itinerary, but our run of great weather had come to an end. We decided to do the circuit anti-clockwise leaving Wine Glass Bay for last so we could have more time there. Whilst the first day was perfect weather, the second day was cloudy, drizzly and miserable.
