I did not have high expectations for this day walk, and when describing the walk to the proposed participants  I didn’t want to oversell so probably made it sound awful, but they were undeterred, despite the 300m descent and ascent.  But best of all, I had three people who hadn’t walked with me before, and I may even see them again despite the walk being a bit harder than expected. Free Tasman Sea Salt for a friend! How good is that?

Part 4 of “spending the kids inheritance to support the Oz economy”.  Trawling the internet looking for made-in-Oz products, I stumbled upon Tasman Sea Salt, a great find for anyone who loves cooking.  This small business was set up in 2013 by Chris and Alice in south eastern Tasmania, quite close to Swansea which I’d passed through years ago after visiting Freycinet NP, if I’d known they were there I would have called in to check them out. At the time, knitting sounded like a good idea

Part 3 of “doing my bit for the Australian economy during a pandemic”.  This purchase was just for me, but I have to admit whilst sitting and binge watching Netflix horror movies and the CNN updates on the Covid-19 Pandemic, I was feeling a little like the Dickens character Madame Defarge (as she sat knitting whilst the aristocracy were guillotined in the French Revolution).  Maybe buying wool for knitting wasn’t such a good idea.
