Bull Ant – another canyon off the wish list

I’d seen lots of photos of Bull Ant but had been put off by photos of an exposed looking climb (we all know I’m not fond of climbs), but John G reassured me with “I don’t remember any climbs other than what we’ve done to get up to Drowned Rat Canyon”.  So, with our adventure up Coorongooba Creek cut short with a fire on Gospers Mountain, we decided that Tuesday we’d go and do Bull Ant. Rafting the Snowy River

McKILLOP’S BRIDGE to BUCHAN – 2 – 5 October 2019
I’d always wanted to raft the Franklin River, but just lately I’d been thinking that maybe I was “past” such a big adventure.  So, when Daniel B proposed a three night/four day white water rafting trip on the Snowy River, it seemed like a safer (softer) option.  Although, once they described how you could fall out and be washed downstream (chin up/feet up!), I was then stressing about falling out! How was I going to manage paddling plus holding onto something so I didn’t fall out at the same time? Continue reading
