Ettrema Gorge, a creek which runs through Morton National Park, on its way to the Shoalhaven River … for those “in the know”, this is the ultimate in places to bushwalk, crystal clear pools, towering bluffs, and pockets of rainforest.

Morong Deep #2 – we can do the section we missed last time?

After we finished our Morong Adventure last year, we decided that we’d have to go back and complete the trip,  we’d already done the Kowmung  River Ford to Morong Creek (and a little ways beyond) section, so we weren’t going to do that section this time and we’d just drop down into the river at Morong Creek and do the section that we’d missed.  At least, that was the plan, didn’t quite work out that way. Ten days on the Travers Sabine route

Morong Deep had been on the BWOC calendar a couple of times, mainly with Geoff S leading the trip.  I’d always missed out and I decided that it was time to do it, I talked Steve C into leading the trip for me as I had no idea even where it was (could have looked on a map but too lazy), plus I suspected there might be some climbing involved and as Steve had done it before, he’d know all the pitfalls that might befall the unwary.
