I had read about a trip years ago to the bottom section of Angowara Creek which had lovely large flat slabs of rock that made the creek walking easy, it had been on my bucket list for years and with 3 days at our disposal, seemed like the right time to do it. Continue reading
This is an unpublished canyon, I can’t say where it is, and wont give out its name, but it received a bit of attention when a certain person published a You Tube video of finding it. I thought, “how hard can it be” to triangulate on where it should be given the hints in the video. Well, seems it’s actually quite hard! 
WHUNGEE-WHEENGEE CANYON – DECEMBER 2015
On a recent walk to the Mini Western Arthurs in October, we’d walked downstream from our (almost perfect) grassy campsite, to take a look at a spot marked on Oliver’s map with a “C”, denoting “campsite”. We were thwarted by a sheer cliff of about 30m, but peering down, it did look perfect and well worth marking on a map. So, we determined that we’d have to return.
